logophilia. Noun. (uncountable) the love of words and word games.

Kevin Chaba has a self-published collection of short works (above), and wrote a one-act play that was staged at MuCCC in December 2016 called Don’t Cry, Man!

Kevin credits his mother for first instilling a love of words in him, playing with homonyms and synonyms in some of his earliest memories. He credits a high school homeroom teacher, along with his first girlfriend, for the discovery of self-expression. And he blames the 2015 death of that girlfriend—who become his wife in 2009—for the all-consuming hunger to pursue writing as a livelihood.
